Ramsaday College Howrah Overview

Ramasday College was established on August 1, 1946, in Amta, Howrah district, West Bengal. It is a public college founded by Panchanan Chongdar in the memory of his father, Ramsaday Chonggdar. Ramsaday College is affiliated with Calcutta University and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Ramsaday College offers six undergraduate, one postgraduate and three distance learning courses in the disciplines of arts, science and commerce. The distance courses are affiliated with Vidyasagar University, Midnapore. Ramsaday College UG admission for 2023 has not started. The college has a separate admission portal and all the information related to Ramsaday College admission procedure is available there. Ramsaday College campus facilities comprise a library, cafeteria, laboratories, seminar hall, girls’ hostel, gymnasium, and many more. The college has a separate common room for indoor games and a large ground for outdoor activities. Ramsaday College annual sports meet is regularly held during winters. The college has an e-classroom facility with 1039 e-materials, five e-resources and 58 video lectures and an e-library facility for students. Ramsaday College scholarships are offered on the basis of merit to the students. The college has also launched a student credit card scheme for financial aid to its students. Ramsaday College alumni association was established in December 2023 and the association holds a re-union on the 2nd Sunday of January every year. The college publishes a yearly journal called ‘Call For Paper - Budhil’ and has also published many other research projects.
